Venue – Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai
Neither of the two teams have looked impressive this season. KKR have had their own shares of struggle with finishing matches while RR have been good on certain moments and pathetic on others. Wankhede is a good venue to see these two teams have a go at each other. In the 23 matches played between the two franchises, KKR have the upper hand winning 12 out of them.
Wankhede’s pitch normally assists the pace bowlers and KKR have a decent pace attack with Pat Cummins and Prasidh Krishna leading the attack. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Shakib out of the team and Lockie Ferguson in for him at this venue. Maybe, Ben Cutting could also get a chance as he can contribute with the bat in the lower middle order as well as can bowl some good off cutters which can prove to be game changing against the Royals.
Royals also have a decent pace bowling line up with likes of Mustafizur , Chetan Sakariya, Unadkat and Chris Morris. My prediction for this match is that KKR would emerge victorious and I am sure the person who comes in for Shakib will prove to be the game changer alongside with Dre Russ.
