In the previous edition of IPL, RR dominated the two games they played against PBKS in the group stage. The primary match was loaded with show as RR chased down a gigantic all out of 224 runs with the assistance of a mystical thump from Rahul Tewatia. In the subsequent game, PBKS set a target of 186 runs which incorporated a 99-run thump from Chris Gayle. Pursuing this target, RR dominated the game in 17.3 overs with the assistance of splendid thumps from Ben Stokes and Sanju Samson.
21 matches have been played between the two teams and Rajasthan Royals have an upper-hand between the two. RR have won 12 times while PBKS have won 9 times. This is not a huge margin to be honest and I believe this clash would be a must watch.
Wankhede assists the pace bowlers pretty much and I would place my bet on PBKS. Though RR have a pretty balanced and tough squad I would still go with PBKS on the sole advantage of having Jhye Richardson in their team. This guy can pick up your main batsmen and turn around the game within a span of a couple overs. Only if Riley Meredith plays alongside him it would be wonderful to watch two young Aussies playing at Wankhede with such high speeds. Nonetheless Rajasthan Royals too have a pretty decent pace attack with Jofra Archer capable of sweeping off the top order in no time and yes Mustafizur Rahman could also prove to be a game changing pick for the Royals.
My pick for this game would be PBKS.
